Acadia Sea Kayaking Adventures Policies.

Acadia Sea Kayaking Adventures Cancellations:

Acadia Sea Kayaking Adventures reserves the right to cancel any tour at the discretion and judgment of the guide. A guide may alter tour routes, departure location, pick-up location, start times, duration of the tour, and group composition.  You are paying for the guide's expertise and safety skills in the event of a situation on the water. We rely on the guide's knowledge, skills, and training to have a great tour and when to make the hard calls.

Weather Cancellations

We do not cancel tours for scattered rain or fog. Light Rain and fog are part of the charm that is coastal Maine. Due to the way the weather works, when these conditions are forecasted, the Sea is generally calm and agreeable. Mainers say "You can see all the seasons in a single hour in Maine. If you don't like the weather, give it 10 minutes." -Every Maine Nana

Sustained Winds and Thunderstorms are the quickest way for a tour to be canceled. Sustained high winds can make it impossible to travel via sea kayak. We will do our best to give advanced warning of cancelations for these reasons, but cancelations may be made day of the tour due to the nature of the weather. Acadia Sea Kayaking Adventure will call to reschedule a tour or provide a full refund.
